First a short History:

Klitmøller is a small fishing village in the north of Denmark and known as the ‘Hawaii of the North' amongst surfers. In the past our NSP Soulwave contest took places in September every year since 1995 and causes a real sportive spirit and represented a unique even.

Every water sports fan was heading to Klitmøller in September to see and present the newest tricks and moves of the season, which forms the NSP Soulwave to an impulsive crossover-event. Being the first of its kind, this event combines the most popular water sports in one – windsurfing, surfing and kitesurfing. After 10 great years and an impressive 10th Soulwave last year we are proud to present a new  idea:

The NSP Soulfiles Festival 2006

From the 14.th to the 17.th of September 2006, the area around  Klitmøller, called by the Locals the “Cold Hawaii”, will be the place for the first NSP Soulfiles Festival.

The idea behind is : Combining Surfing and Windsurfing with a short film festival.

Diziplines: Windsurfing (the winner will get a wild card wave for the Colgate pwa worldcup sylt . There will be a brand new simmer sail and some more samller prices for the rest of the field. In Surfing there will be a shortboard and a longboard run, a kid   and a women field. The winners will get a brand new NSP board and there will be small prices for the rest of the field. There will be Funsurfing hours with free NSP Boards to try to get as much people as possible on the water. As the whole event is an moving event, we will try to get the best possible conditions day by day.

We will show the film in the skatehall in Thisted and the audience will decide the winner of the  film festival. The winner will get 500 Euros . Of cause there  will be a big surfers party on Saturday in the disco ”Dampmollen”  in Klitmøller. The whole Countest will help to lift the status of the surfers in this area and soworks against ideas to shot down the whole coast line for surfing because of the increasing amount of wild campers. To spread this idea we will promote the Surfers for Surfers campain and the cold Hawaii campain of the local surf club nasa which try to get the visitors to go on official camping grounds and shows the people of the area how much positive effects they can get out of the boardsport community.
